Rob introduced me to a great feature on Google Chrome this week. A time mangement tool, each time you try to open a new browser tab, the image above appears..."What is your main focus today?" with a blinking line below for you to ponder and input your answer.
While I certainly could use this to input my one big work task each day, I instead have been using it for very clear and simple reminders of how I wish to be. Over the last few days, here is what I have typed.
What is Your Main Focus Today?
Gratitude for life's challenges
Trusting that I can have it all
I always stay on the screen for a moment before I start my work search. Reading the words, I give myself a moment to clear my head and concentrate on how I wish to engage in my work. Maybe next week I will start adding in a work action item in parentheses: Save the World (& finish my evaluation template) .
What (1) thing do you want to focus on today?
